"The fight for freedom is God's fight.
So when a man stands for freedom he stands with God.
And as long as he stands for freedom he stands with God.
And were he to stand alone he would still stand with God.
A man will be eternally vindicated and rewarded for his stand for freedom."

Visits

Many people have asked me how often I get to visit my husband.  Each facility is different.  In Henderson the inmates are permitted to have two visits per week. Visiting hours are from 8:00am to 11:00am or 1:00pm to 4:00pm Wednesday thru Sunday. There is a limit of two adults per visit. Children are allowed to visit but must be supervised by an adult at all times. Each visit is twenty minutes long. Visits may be recorded.   Visitors must present valid government issued identification.  Now some of you might think that we get to visit through the glass or maybe across a table but I wish it was either of those cases.  At the Henderson Detention Center it is only through a computer screen.

I can see my husband on the screen pretty good but he says that we just look like shadows to him.  The lighting in the detention center isn't the best so it doesn't give the best picture for the inmate to see his family.  As soon as you pick up the phone then the timer starts.
I really do not like that timer.  I have taken our kids to talk to their dad.  It was hard for them because I had to limit their time to five minutes for each one of them to speak.  That was not enough time for them and there were a lot of tears after that visit.  I try my best to get to Henderson as often as I can but when I can't make it I make sure that others go and visit him so that he gets two visitors per week.  It is very important for these men to have visitors.  It shows them that people care about them and it also gets them out of their cell.

I ask all of you to take time to love on your loved ones.  Make sure that you give them a hug each day.  I remember the morning my husband left to go to work before he left he gave me a kiss on my cheek as I was laying in bed and said he would see me later.  I have not had any physical contact from my husband since the morning of March 3, 2016.  I am so tired and hurting and all I want is for my husband to hold me and love on me.  I miss holding his hand as we drove in the car or cuddling as we watched a movie together.  I miss him being able to love on our kids.  Please don't take these things for granted because you will never know when these freedoms will be stripped away from you.  Please pray that on May 16th my husband will be granted pre-trial release and he will be able to come home and love on his family.

  1. Please know that we are praying with you for Dave's pretrial release on May 16th. He needs to come home to you and his children. This has gone on too long and is so incredibly wrong on so many levels. Please know that there are many of us out here that stand with the Bundy family and many more that do but are too afraid to say anything. That is starting to change in this country though. Better days are coming. Hold on and stay strong!!!!
