I didn't realize that it has been a whole month since I have last blogged. We have had a really busy month filled with lots of up and downs and I have found that at the end of the day I am tired both physically and emotionally. I have struggled to write my thoughts down but tonight I feel like I need too give an update on our family and this trial.
This last month we spent several different occasions supporting the other Political Prisoners who were in trial. We never went inside the courtroom but instead stood outside the Federal Court house holding up signs and spreading the truth. We felt honored to stand by these patriots who also stood by our families. The scriptures teach us that, "the second greatest commandment is too love thy neighbor as yourself" and "carry each other's burdens." We were grateful to be there supporting these men that were on trial. The outcome of a hung jury was not exactly what we were hoping for but we were grateful that the jury could see through the lies and deceit that was presented by the Government.
Dave has been staying busy in his pod doing a lot of reading. He usually stays up late to read because that is when it is the most quiet in the pod. Dave is also in the same pod as his dad, Cliven. That has been nice because he has someone close to talk too. Dave has lost over seventy pounds. A lot of the food that they feed them in the detention center is all soy base. Dave doesn't complain much and is grateful but there is just certain foods that he can not stomach. He misses is family greatly. He wants nothing else but to be home with his wife and children. And we also want nothing more than to have our husband/dad home where he belongs.
This last week the prosecution filed a motion stating that they have decided to retry the first group again. They are also asking that the next group which includes Cliven Bundy, Ammon Bundy, Ryan Bundy, Ryan Payne and Pete Santilli be pushed back until November. This was devastating news to all of the men. The men were ready to go to trial last year. Then they were all ready in February for trial and now some of the men have no idea when they will go to trial. Dave's group will not go to trial until everyone else has been to trial. So if the judge rules on this motion by the prosecutors then Dave will not go to trial until 2018 or later. Our lawyer in May of 2016 told the judge that he would be ready for trial within 90 days. But now Dave has been in jail for over 430 days with no pre trial release and no trial date. This is heartbreaking for our family. The government does this too people on purpose to break them down. They want to break these people and their families so they will take a plea deal. How sad that our government does this to good American people. I can't even imagine waiting another year before my husband goes to trial. It crushes my heart to think he will have to stay in jail until his trial. We pray every night and day that the Lord will intervene soon and help our dad come home.
We are so grateful that we can talk every night with Dave and have family prayer. It definitely is the highlight of our day. My oldest son and I have been busy making and selling benches. Dave is so grateful to our son who is helping our family out financially. He is very proud of him. We are grateful to all of you who continue to bless our family with prayer, letters, service and donations. Dave is only able to make it through each day because he knows that his family is being taken care of by angels. Please continue to pray and support all of these men. I know that God will not leave us but instead will wrap his arms around us and help to lighten our load. God bless you all.
For those that are interested we will be making and selling these benches for one more month. We are asking for a minimum donation of $60.00 dollar donation if picked up in Millard County or a $65.00 dollar donation delivered out of Millard County. They are very sturdy benches that are made with high quality products and will look great on your front porch or even in your home. We have them available for pickup in Millard County, Utah or once we have a big enough order we can deliver them to Mesquite, Nevada, Saint George, Utah, Springville, Utah and Lehi, Utah. We wish we could ship them all over America but we know the cost of shipping would be too expensive. So for those that don't live close enough to buy a bench but would like to help this young man earn money for his family then you can make a donation that will go towards purchasing the wood to make the benches. You can make donations through my paypal link and for those that want to purchase a bench please email me your name and contact information or you can put the information on paypal and we will get your bench made as soon as possible. My email address is marylynnbundy40@gmail.com. Our paypal link is paypal.me/MarylynnBundy. Or you can mail a check to PO Box 814, Delta, Utah 84624
