Dave has been moved

My husband called and informed me that he has been moved to Nevada Southern Detention Center.  Which is in Pahrump, Nevada.  He was very depressed about it.  They woke him up this morning and told him to gather his belongings and he would be leaving.  Dave, his brother Mel, Erik Parker and Jerry DeLemus were all transported together.  He said the ride over was awful.  Having his hands and feet chained for several long hours was terrible.  He was also not able to take all of his belongings with him.  He was so hoping that they would all be put together in the same pod but that didn't happen.  Dave and his brother Mel cried when they seperated them.  Below are examples of pictures of what Dave's room looks like.  He gets to be in a room of 100 prisoners.  He never leaves his room.  He makes all his phone calls from this room.  He eats in the same room.  He showers and goes the bathroom in the same room.  There are three TV's going on in the same room.  How on earth is he ever going to experience any peace. This makes me sick.  I feel so bad for these men.  When I talked to Dave tonight he was very down and depressed.   It was very hard to have a conversation with him over the phone because all of the prisoners were so loud.  His living arrangement makes me furious.  My husband is not guilty.  He hasn't committed any crime.  But he is forced to live in this room with 99 other men and no privacy at all.  My husband should be home with his family.  This should not be happening in America.  Please write to Dave and try to uplift his spirits.

  2. They are trying to make it hard on them and inconvenient for their families but the people doing this will pay for it in the long run

  5. Wow! Hard to think about living in those circumstances. Would be like living in a military barracks, except you can't go out to get some "away time" and I'm sure that what he will have to listen to won't be the nicest language.

  6. I know your pain so well. I'm so sorry that your husband & your family have to go through this. My heart breaks when I think of what you all are enduring...basically imprisoned with him. My son is in prison for a crime he did not commit as well & facing a 20 year sentence. He is an architect, his dream job, very successful, built his own home & has 2 precious daughters. But he has lost it all~He's served almost 7 now & he's gone through many phases. His calls use to be so difficult. But I always asked the Lord to give me whatever it was that my son needed to hear & God never disappointed me. My son is a very devout Christian as are the rest of our family. If Dave can truly grasp the fact that there is a very definite plan that God has for this, it will help so much! Also realize that he needs to take ALL thoughts captive,as the Bible states & not allow any negative thoughts to grow in his mind & instead replace them all with the promises of God & the realization that he is an ambassador for the Kingdom of God. What he actually needs to do is make his daily reality that of whatever it is that God is doing. The Lord will shower him with His favor & peace. My son is now very strong in the Lord & he as well as our family, have the peace that passes all understanding! THAT is what is carrying him. I have been praying for your family & will continue. When things are feeling too heavy to bear, give it completely over to your King of Kings. HE has something profound planned in all of this & you all just need to believe & live that. God bless you, Dave & your family.

    1. Thank you so much for your thoughts. I really needed to hear this today. I am so sorry about your son. I feel bad for his little girls. Well they are probably not little anymore. I always try to stay positive with Dave. I am always trying to uplift him even when it is heard. He is trying and no matter what I know that God will intervene. Love you. Marylynn

  12. Do they have crazy rules about what kind of paper and writing utinsils need to be used for letters. I knew someone who was in jail and we could only send a single page written in pencil.

  17. Marylynn,
I believe in my heart that your family was chosen to endure this struggle for a reason and the God's plan will reveal itself in the end. What a horrible travesty for such a wonderful Christian family to have to go through! All of you are in my thoughts and prayers! Remain strong and steadfast in your faith, and miracles will happen!
