Update on Dave

Dave has called several times today.  This morning when he called I could actually hear him talk.  I asked him why it was so quiet,  he said, "because everyone stays up all night talking and hanging out and so now they are asleep."  This was about 9 a.m. when he called me.  He tossed and turned all night.  He was not feeling very good.  He says the pain comes and goes.  He has not gotten any injections or taken any medicine but the doctor did tell him that if he feels like he needs some medicine then he could ask for some.  Yesterday, they did do a physical on him and he is supposed to have a Xray soon.   So, I am grateful that they are watching over him in that regard.

It will take Dave sometime to get used to his new living arrangement.  He is not used to being around that many people.  He enjoyed being able to study and write in his cell where it was quite.  He was hoping that they had ear plugs that you could buy in the commissary but no luck with that.  He did say that there was a nice guy who gave him a packet of ramen noodles if Dave ever got hungry before he was able to get his commissary.  He is also grateful that he can be around Jerry and Micah.

Dave said that they have role call three times a day.  They have to sit on their beds and wait for the guards to come check on them.  They have an id card that they show as the guards go by.  He said the food was ok and the portions were about the same as in Henderson.  One thing that he was happy about is that he has lost 25 pounds.  I told him that he lost the pounds and I found them. Ha Ha

Thank you to everyone that has been keeping our family in your prayers.  We most definitely feel these prayers and also need them.  I reminded my husband of the saying from Jeffrey R. Holland,"
