Bible Study and Potluck

I just love my husband so much.  He is really trying his best to make the best out of the situation that he is put in.  He told me that at night he and several other inmates are going to be reading scriptures at night together and they will be having a potluck.  I asked him what he meant by having a potluck? He says that they would each bring food from their commissary to share.  He says he might even make a special dish which includes ramen noodles, dehydrated refried beans and canned sausage. Ok, that does not sound good to me.  I guess you got to try new dishes and be creative when you are so limited to ingredients.  I think it is a great idea for these men to get together for a potluck and scripture study and uplift each other.  These men eat dinner really early at 5:00 p.m. so they usually do get hungry later on in the night.  Dave says the food isn't too bad and the portions are a little bit bigger than what he was provided in Henderson.  Most all of the meat is soy based meat which Dave isn't used too.  Dave is not a picky person and will usually eat what is given to him.  I just can't wait for him to get home so I can prepare a big feast for him.

Dave is a really good cook.  He makes the best steaks and dutch oven potatoes.  As soon as he is home we will have to have a BBQ with everyone and I am positive that Dave will offer to be the cook.  But for now please come out and support our BBQ fundraiser this Thursday, June 2, at the Delta City Park, in Delta, Utah from 6-8:30.  Let's show Dave that we love him and support him.

  1. My heart will be there with you. I will be out of state on a business trip, actually in LV nearer to where Dave is incarcerated in Pahrump.
I feel privileged to be a commissary sponsor for Dave through the good organization set up by Kelli Stewart. I have seen you at a rally at the Utah capitol the week Dave was taken, but I have not met many of the other good people. Our family prays daily for the release of all our patriots, and I keep your names on the temple prayer roll here in Provo. I want to hug you all and let you know how concerned we are for your men and the honorable cause they stand for.
