This week, Interior Subcommittee Chairman Blake Farenthold and I sent a letter to the Inspector General about Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and their findings regarding an employee accused of deleting documents to obstruct a Congressional investigation.
Dave and I are blessed with great kids. Our kids have had a really hard year but have tried their best to be strong during this trial. Our eldest son has helped in so many different ways. He amazes me constantly of how he is willing to take on more responsiblity. He knows that we need to earn money in order to be able to keep the lawyer that we have. So he asked me the other day if he could make some benches and sale them to help earn money for his dad's legal fees. Our son is only fifteen years old but has a heart of gold. He loves his dad and misses him dearly. They have always been great buddies. Dave has always taught our kids how to work hard and be productive. Our son has not told his dad about his plan and wants to suprise him.

My brother-in-law Ammon has stated, "The beautiful thing about the truth is that it is so easy to tell."
He is exactly right. As I sat in the court room on Tuesday to attend my brother-in-law Ryan Bundy's pre-detention hearing I was left speechless. On one side of the room you have Ryan Bundy who is representing himself clothed in his jail scrubs and sitting beside him is his court appointed lawyer who is only there to assist him, All he did was humbly tell the truth. Then on the other side of the court room, you have nine prosecutors who are dressed in their high-end clothing. I couldn't believe how much our tax dollars were being spent on the government side, and all they had to tell is lies! These prosecutors had to take several breaks. They took these breaks in my opinion so that they could come together to figure out what lies and misrepresentations that they would tell next. They would not have to take these breaks if they were just simply telling the truth. Telling the truth is easy and will set you free. I was so proud of Ryan and the way he handled his case. He was amazing. He agreed to take an Oath because he has nothing to hide and has always been taught to speak the truth. My question is why don't these prosecutors take an Oath each time before court starts? They should only be speaking the truth. Our government should not lie to the American People.
The government has lied about our Bundy Family and the other Patriots that came to participate in a peaceful protest in 2014. They make you feel that we are deceitful, dangerous and anti-government. We are exactly the opposite as to what they are portraying us to be. I want to give you two examples on how they have portrayed my husband, Dave Bundy. Please for yourself be the one to judge us and decide if the government is correct in their statements.
1. The first incident took place on April 6, 2014. My husband was on the side of the state highway leaning against his car taking pictures with his Ipad. All he was doing was recording the BLM and contract cowboys coming down the road. He was exercising his First Amendment right. He never moved from this site until he was thrown to the ground, stomped on and arrested. The government states in the Indictment against my husband that, "On or about April 6, 2014, R. Bundy and D. Bundy, interfered with impoundment operations by positioning themselves to block a BLM convoy." Does this look like he was positioning to block a BLM convoy?
2. The second incident took place on April 12. My husband and I traveled to the bridge on I-15 to simply participate in a peaceful protest. When we arrived there the undersheriff Lombardo came over and talked to my husband. I have attached the video of what was said.
This is what the government said during Dave's detention hearing in Nevada, quote, "And when the officers -- Metro officers went to Dave Bundy and they asked him, "what are your intentions here at this impoundment site?" he said that they were there to get the cattle. And when the officers said, "Well, you know, BLM might need more time to negotiate that, they're not ready to give up the cattle. The government said, "Dave Bundy's response was that was unacceptable."
Is the government correct in how they quoted the Metro officer and Dave on April 12? They are absolutely wrong in how they quoted Officer Lombardo and Dave Bundy. It is correct that Metro Officer Lombardo said, "We had huge progress already. We got the BLM to stop their operation." So why was it that five minutes after this talk that the BLM and National Park Service were dressed in their swat gear threatening American Peoples lives? The BLM were supposed to be packing their bags not threatening American People.
I am only asking and pleading that everyone would be held accountable to tell the truth. But we are all given free agency and we can choose to lie or tell the truth. These lies have caused so much heartbreak. It is because of the lies and deceit that have been told in this case that these men have been locked away from their families for a year now. It is because of the lies I as well as others are forced to act as single mothers, and our children do not have their dads at home. Because of the lies we had to hire a lawyer instead of building our home. Because of the lies these true American patriots have been denied bail and their rights to a fair and speedy trial.
I know that the truth will prevail. In John 8:32 it states, "The truth will set you free." Please continue to pray for all of the families. Pray for the defense lawyers that they will be able to convey the truth. Pray for the Jury that they will be able to discern the truth from the lies. Pray that the prosecutors will begin to tell the truth. Pray for the judge that she will be able to listen to the truth.
If you are able to help with any amount towards Dave's attorney fees then that would be extremely appreciative. I didn't realize how much money it would take in order to rebuke the lies they have said against Dave. We appreciate all your help and support. God Bless all of you and America.
Last night when I was on the phone with my husband I told him that I was starting to call our different State Representative's and also President Donald J. Trump and his new cabinet picks. I said what do I have to lose by trying? His response back to me hit me hard, he said, "I have my family to lose if you don't try." He is hundred percent correct. If my husband is convicted on these false trumped up charges then he could spend up to 96 years in prison. He will never be able to be with his family again. This is to heartbreaking to think about and I will not stop working until he is home where he belongs.
On a daily basis I have so many people tell me, "If there is anything I can do for you, then please let me know." Well, I am asking for your help now. I am asking that you write letters to the new presidency asking them to look into this case. Then I ask that you call your elected officials and have them look into the case. The more letters and calls the better. All of these men are not guilty of anyone of the charges that they are being charged with. They did none of those things. The prosecutors have no evidence against these men. These men have been denied bail and their constitutional rights to a speedy trial. These men have been imprisoned for almost a year now. It is way past time for them to come home. Please help these men come home and be reunited with their families so they can prepare for a fair trial. This is your time to help and let your voices be heard.
Please, write President Donald J Trump, The Honorable Jeff Sessions Attorney General and then write and call your State elected officials and ask them to stand up for these mens freedoms and liberties by sending them home to their families.

I first want to start out by saying how much we have been blessed this holiday season and this past year. Our family is so grateful for the love that has been shown to us during the Holidays and throughout this past year. Words can't describe how thankful we are for your thoughtfulness toward our family. We have been blessed with so many kind acts by so many individuals. Thank you for your cards, prayers, meals, donations, gifts, services and so many other acts of kindness. You have definitely helped to lighten our load and bring happiness into our home. It was so wonderful to see the children's faces on Christmas morning. They all had big smiles on their faces and excitement in their voices. This made Dave and I so happy. We love you and thank you all for your kindness and love.
Trials
Just before Christmas we received some heartbreaking news. The Judge who is managing the Nevada Case decided that there was no way that all 17 defendants could be tried on February 6th. She decided because there was so many defendants going to trial that she would break them up into three different groups and have three different trials. All 17 defendants were ready to go to trial on February 6th. These men have been imprisoned for over 10 months and are ready to be reunited with their families again. But sadly the Judge decided that Dave along with his brother Mel and four others would be put into the last group to go to trial. Which means that Dave probably will not be going to trial until August of 2017.
Dave has already been away from our family for ten long months now. If he doesn't go to trial until August then that is at least another ten long months. This means that it will be almost two years that our family will have been wrongly separated. This trial is not getting any easier only harder. I feel for Dave who longs for his children's hugs and kisses. And I feel so badly for our children who miss a daddy who freely gave his love to his children with lots of hugs and kisses. His family means everything to him and he is our hero. The thought of him not coming home soon is almost unbearable and we are trying to just take it one day at a time.
Even though this trial is extremely hard we will never stop believing and having faith that our Heavenly Father is ultimately in control and that our Daddy will be home soon. Below is a picture of what our Santa's cookies looked like this past Christmas. I love the faith that our daughter has and that her faith is unwavering. She will never give up on her daddy! She is one of her daddy's biggest Cheerleaders.
Dave and I are blessed with six beautiful children who are doing their best to hold on to the faith that their daddy will be home soon. These children have cried many tears for their daddy. They miss him and want him home so badly. But they are doing their best to staying strong for their daddy. Please continue to do the same with us. Please continue to pray that our Dad and the other patriots will be returned home soon. We want to wish our dad a Happy Birthday on Saturday and let him know that we love him and miss him. We are proud of him for staying so strong. We pray that on his Birthday he will be comforted and be able to find some happiness. We love you DAVE BUNDY! Keep staying strong. You will be home soon. Families are Forever.
For some time now, family and friends have been praying for a Christmas Miracle. We so want our Dad, Grandpa, Uncles and the other political prisoners to come home for Christmas. Last night before our ten year old daughter went to bed she gave me a letter and asked me to get it mailed as soon as possible. I was thinking it was a letter to her dad or maybe her Grandpa. Below is the letter:
When I read this innocent letter my heart just started to break again into a million pieces. These children of ours all are still holding onto the hope of the Christmas miracle that their daddys will be home for Christmas. I must admit I am also hoping for that miracle. Please continue to pray for the Judge that her heart will be softened and she will be able to help our Christmas wish come true. We only have 12 more days left until Christmas.
With only a little over a week before Christmas I have to admit though that I have not gotten into the Christmas Spirit this year. I just want my husband to be home. Everytime I think of Christmas I just want to bawl. It just doesn't seem right to have Christmas without him. But after I talked with him on the phone tonight he told me that I must try harder to get into the Christmas Spirit. He wants his children to be happy on Christmas Day and be excited about all of the festivities of the holiday season. We do not want them to suffer this Christmas and feel sorrow. These children should not have to suffer and feel sad during this season. They are hurting enough without their daddies. Please continue to pray for our family and all of the other political prisoners families that we will do our best to enjoy this Christmas season. Pray for the men that they may be able to find joy also this Christmas season.
