"The fight for freedom is God's fight.
So when a man stands for freedom he stands with God.
And as long as he stands for freedom he stands with God.
And were he to stand alone he would still stand with God.
A man will be eternally vindicated and rewarded for his stand for freedom."

Spinning my wheels

Thank goodness it is Friday.  Yesterday as I was cleaning out my car I heard my little boy yell Help!  I couldn't but help to just start laughing.  As I was looking at him all that came to my mind is well that is exactly how I have been feeling lately.  This last week I have felt that I have been spinning my wheels trying to get somewhere fast.  But I haven't really got anywhere because I have been stuck in a mud hole just like my son.  But as my son was yelling for me to help him I realized that is exactly what I need to be doing more.  I need to be asking for my Heavenly Father to help me and I need to have enough faith in him that he will help me and my husband get out of this hole that we are stuck in.

As the Lord’s prophet, President Monson counsels: “At times there appears to be no light at the tunnel’s end—no dawn to break the night’s darkness. … We feel abandoned, heartbroken, alone. If you find yourself in such a situation, I plead with you to turn to our Heavenly Father in faith. He will lift you and guide you. He will not always take your afflictions from you, but He will comfort and lead you with love through whatever storm you face.”

I talked with my husband this morning.  He is in good spirits and has a great attitude.  He enjoys being with the other Political Prisoners in his pod.  They all inspire each other and give each other hope.  He is so impressed with Jerry DeLemus and the strength that he has. He loves listening to him talk from the bible and gives them mini sermons daily.  I am grateful for those men who are helping to make my husbands stay a little brighter.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Enjoy this wonderful weather.

AIRPLANES

My husband sent the kids and I a fun surprise in the mail this last week.   We didn't get letters this week but instead he made five of our kids their very own paper airplane.  My husband makes the best paper airplanes. I was teasing him and told him that Ammon is giving out pocket constitutions when people donate and maybe he could give out his signature paper airplanes.  He got a good laugh out of that.  He did tell me that he took each one of these airplanes and did practice flights with them before he mailed them off.

I want you to take a close look at these paper airplanes.  On each airplane he has the kids name on them but next to their name he makes sure that he tells each kid that he loves their momma, mother or mommy.  This made my heart melt.  I know that my husband thinks of us constantly.  I know he worries about whether we are happy or not.  He is the most unselfish man there is.  He only wants what is best for his family.

My husband also has told me how extremely grateful he is to all of you who have shown our family much love and support in the past couple of months.  Whenever, I tell him that someone has done something for us then he immediately says, "please tell them I love them and how grateful I am for them."  And then he goes on to ask me if I put that persons name in the ledger.  So I am telling you all now that my husband loves you and he is grateful for you.

I love you Dave Bundy and I can't wait for you to be able to soar into the sky and spread your wings and fly.  You will take flight again and enjoy your freedoms just as soon as we overcome this bumpy flight that we are experiencing.

PRAY HARD

I had every intention of doing a fun post today but at 12:15 in the morning I read that the U.S. Magistrate Judge set the new trial date for February 6, 2017 for my husband and the other 18 defendants.  She also declared the case to be complex.  This ruling completely broke my heart.  I am actually numb and speechless.  What has happened to the country that I love.  What has happened to their rights for a speedy trial?  Where are the elected representatives that will stand up and fight for these men and their Constitutional rights?

The tears will not stop streaming.  All I can imagine is seeing my innocent husband locked away in a cold cell and not being able to love on his babies and his wife. I can't even imagine how I will tell our six babies that their dad might not be coming home for awhile.  I will not tell them yet.  I will not give up on my husband and his right to a pre-trial release.  I must pray now harder then I have ever prayed that these men will be released and be able to go home to their families and be able to prepare for their trial.

Elder Neal L. Anderson from the LDS Church reminded me that, "The difficulties of mortality blow against you, and evil forces lurk in the darkness, hoping to extinguish your faith.  But as you continue to make good choices, trust in God, and follow His Son, the Lord sends increased light and knowledge, and your faith becomes settled and unwavering."  I know that we need to replace our fear with faith and continue to strengthen that faith.  We need to educate ourselves and educate others.  I know that it is the Lord that is going to free our men.

Please join our family and all of the other Patriot's families in prayer.  Get on your knees and pray, pray and pray some more that these men will be given their rights for pre-trial release.  We desperately need your faith and prayers.  Please don't forget these Political Prisoners and their families.

PLEASE LET MY SWEETHEART COME HOME!

Daddys Shirts

Our children have been missing their dad extremely bad.  Dave was always the one to lay down with them at night and tuck them into bed. The kids enjoyed talking with him at night while they were laying in bed.  The nights are really hard because he is not here to hold them and tell them that everything will be ok.  I was trying to think of an idea that would help my kids get through the night.  So I thought of making his shirts into pillows.  Our nice neighbor and friend Chritine Reber sewed these pillows for our children.  They love these pillows.  My children love the fact that they can lay down at night with something that is their dad's.  Once in awhile I spray his cologne onto the pillows so they will remember him even more.  Thank you for all of your prayers and support. Continue to pray for the all the daddies to be released.  They need to be home with their children loving them and holding them and their children need them home too.

This picture shows that you are never to old to take a nap with your dad.

COURT

Yesterday all 19 defendants went before Magistrate Judge Peggy Leen to set a trial date.  Before we entered the court room all 19 women that were there to support the Political prisoners went into a corner and prayed.  The pray was powerful and as we entered the court room we felt the spirit.  It was actually really good to be able to see all of the political prisoners and their lawyers working together.  The men looked good.  They seemed to be happy and had smiles on their face.

The prosecutor over and over again pleaded the governments case that this case should be ruled as complex and that the trial date should be in Febuary of 2017.  He had several reasons why he believed this.  One is that there are 19 defendants and that makes it complex right there.  He also said that they do not have all their discovery together.  He said they still need to encrypt their machines.  He said that so far they have 1.4 of terabytes of discovery.  He acted like it would take months for the defendants lawyers to be able to go through all of the information.

Our lawyers did a really good job representing the defendants.  Ryan Bundy did an excellent job representing himself and defending the other defendants rights.  Fourteen defendants asked the judge to allow them to have a speedy trial.  They do not want this case to be classified as complex.  It is their constitution rights to be able to have their trial in 70 days.  Dave's lawyers said he would most definitely be ready for trial in 70 days   It is not their fault if the prosecutors are not ready for the case.  The prosecutors have had two years to get their evidence together.  They should not have to sit in a jail cell and wait for them to get their case ready against these Political Prisoners.

The original trial date was supposed to be on May 2 but the judge said because of so many defendants and because the prosectors do not even have the discovery ready yet then that day will not work.   The judge told the prosecutors that they have two weeks to get their discovery together and to start handing over their discovery to the defendants lawyers.  She has not made her ruling yet wether this should be ruled as a complex case.

I am praying that the judge allows these 14 men to have their constitutional rights for a speedy trial.  I know there is a lot of discovery to go through but we have the lord on our side and a mighty army that will be able to help us with this task in no time (FBI and BLM I am not talking about a mighty army that will come after you physically so don't be too scared).  Thank you for all of your prayers.  I most definitely felt them yesterday.  The spirit was in that court room leading and guiding the lawyers in the way that they defended the political prisoners.  Please keep praying for the political prisoners, their lawyers, the judge and also the prosecutors that their hearts might be softened.

P.S. Just on a side note.  Last week Ammon's Lawyer got kicked out for using his phone.  This week Dave's lawyer got his notebook taken away from him during court. Why on earth would they take a notebook away from a lawyer?

Belongings

I just received my husbands belongings that the US Marshals took from him in Salt Lake City, Utah before being transported to Nevada.  I did not want these items back because I wanted him to have them.  I bought him that watch for his birthday in January so he would be able to know what time it was and when it was time to come home.  We sent him those pictures so he could remember his family and all of the good times we have had.  My children and other family members wrote him those letters to give him hope and show him how much we love him.  The picture of Jesus and Mary was given to him by a cell mate to remind him of our Savior.   All I really want is for him to return home so I can give him his belongings back.

Please say an extra pray for our patriots, their lawyers, and the Judge tomorrow.  All 19 of them will be going before Judge Navarro tomorrow where she will discuss how she will handle the trial. The hearing is at 10:00 a.m. in the Federal Court House in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Today I took my car into Bringard Auto Repair in Delta, Utah to have my safety inspection done.  When I dropped it off I asked the Owner how much would it cost to fix my air conditioning.  He told me that it could cost up to 1600.00 dollars.  I told him not to worry about it and just for him to go ahead and do the safety inspection.  Several hours later I went to pick up my car.  I noticed on the invoice that they had worked on my air conditioning, did my safety inspection and changed my oil.  I went to go and pay for it and the owners wife told me that they were not going to charge me.  Their son came over and told me that they would take care of the bill because my Husband is an AMERICAN HERO!  This made me so extremely happy and proud to be from Delta, Utah.  Thank you so much Bringard family for taking care of a family in your community.  This story helped to lift my husbands spirits tonight.

My friend Misty Rowley sent me this quote yesterday I love it.

This trial has not been easy on my family.  It is so hard to have faith in our government when they have locked away an innocent person.  We have retained a lawyer to help him fight this battle.  The lawyer told us that he has been practicing for over 37 years and has never, never seen a case like this.  He said it is completely political.  I would do anything for my husband.  I will not leave my husband to sit in a cold cell and not do the best that I can for him.    His court appointed attorney told me several times that he wanted the case but didn't know if he had time for the case.  I prayed and knew that I had to find someone that would be able to make time for his case. I now will have to come up with funds in order to pay for our lawyer.  This will not be easy but I know we have the lord on our side.  I ask that you all pray for our lawyer Cal Potter that he will have my husband best interest.
My sweet husband wrote to me the other day and said that he has courage in what the Lord told Joseph Smith while in Liberty Jail. “my son, peace be unto thy soul: thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment: and then, if though endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.”  He also told me to remember the quote from Elder Holland which said, "I testify that bad day's come to an end.  That faith always triumphs and that heavenly promises are always kept."  He reminded me that the lord will bless our family if we hold true to our part and remain faithful and obedient to his commandments.  I will do my part and I will remain faithful.

I just want to thank all of you that are doing your part and helping your neighbor.  My husband and I are humbled at the love and support that we receive from all over the world.  We know that there are good people out there.  We are so grateful for the help of American citizens who love their neighbor and only want to see that their neighbors are set free.  Thank you and God Bless all of you.
P.S.  As I am sitting here so emotional today my dad just brought me a check from citizens in Millard County.  I am speechless and even more emotional.  These people are not wealthy and do not live in a big house but are very hard working people that have a big heart and care about others.   Thank you so much Ed and Sylvia Brown and Logan Cleaver.  You are truly examples of Christlike people.

Hearts are Broken

Our children's hearts are broken. They need their dad home to mend their hearts. This should not be happening in America. I Know that these bad days will come to an end with the lords help and the help of we the people. Thank you to all of you who have been supporting our families. We can feel your love and support.

I must say that when I received a letter from my sweet husband this week it gave me strength and hope.  He reminded me, "As seemingly hard as it appears at this time we have to have the faith that our Heavenly Father knows our circumstance and knows that he is for us and with us. That he will be there to help us during this time.  He will provide a way whereby we will prevail and triumph over this trial and be united again together as a family, to live in peace.  As part of this faith, we must have the patience to endure this "process of time" and submit ourselves to him so that we may be able to learn the lessons from his trial that he has intended us to learn.  We have to keep praying for greater faith and greater patience and then continue to endure day in and day out.  Then I believe will come lifes victory after awhile."

I am so glad to be from Millard County, Utah.  I am also so grateful for wonderful people who are supporting our family.  Thank you Crista, Heather and Siobahn for the amazing display that you put on at the Health Fair in Delta.  Thank you for believing in our family and standing up for my husband who is an innocent man.  FREE THE PATRIOTS.

Maysa's Dad

PHONE CALLS

My husband is able to call home about three times a day.  He calls in the morning, afternoon and then at night.  We are able to talk about 15 minutes each time he calls. He usually can only make one call because he has to wait in line to use the phone.  I am grateful that he always waits in line so that he can talk with us.  Each phone call costs $5.05.  It is worth every penny to talk to him but it does add up especially since I am not employed.

Tonight our 13 year old daughter wanted to talk with him.  Once the conversation started she never stopped bawling.  She told him that it wasn't fair because he has done nothing wrong.  He told her that he would be home someday.  She informed him that she hates the word someday.  What does someday mean she asked her dad?  He also told her that it will be ok.  She told him that it is not OK.  She sobbed and sobbed which made me start bawling.  After she got off of the phone we said a prayer together to give her comfort and also comfort her dad.

Maysa is right.  What is being done to these men is not fair.  It is not ok what the government is doing to these men and what Government is doing to their families.  Our government is completely tearing apart these children.  Just within the Bundy family there are 26 children without their dads.  Who would have thought that the government would bring so much pain to their own citizens.   I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers.  I know he feels these childrens tears and I know that he cries with them.  But I also know, that he cannot control everyones choices.  I am praying extra hard tonight for America and for the government to stand up for what is right.  Bring Maysa's Dad Home.

Community

I spotted this sign as I was coming home from Las Vegas today.  I was so excited that I had to turn around and take a picture.  Thank you Todd Leavitt Family for your Support.  Helen Keller said, "Alone we can do so little together we can do so much."  Lets stand together and free the Patriots!

Spring time by far is my husbands favorite time of the year.  He loves to plant a garden every year.  We usually always plant tomatoes, squash, onion, green peppers and hot peppers.  This year he might not be able to plant a garden but I will try to plant one for him.  He just better be home so he can enjoy a tomato sandwhich. Enjoy the freedoms that you have and get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Thanks for all of your prayers!

Simple Life

I asked my husband if there was a particular picture that he wanted me to send him.  This is the picture that he requested.  These were good times!  He loved spending the summers with his siblings. They all look like a bunch of river rats but look at the happiness on their faces.  They were so happy.  They would spend their days working on the farm and when it got hot they would head for the river or the ditch.  Where they enjoyed swimming, building mud huts and having water fights.
I want to see these smiles on my children.  I want them to have a life full of love and happiness.  Our children need to be able to not have so much weight on their shoulders but be able to enjoy playing in the river or building a hut out of mud. Please pray for these daddies to come home to their babies.

A Message To America

Joseph Smith said: "Even this nation will be on the very verge of crumbling to pieces and tumbling to the ground, and when the Constitution is upon the brink of ruin, this people will be the staff upon which the nation shall lean, and they shall bear the Constitution away from the very verge of destruction." (July 19, 1840, Church Historian's Office, Salt Lake City.)

CarolBundy ~ Message to Harry Reid

I am proud of my mother-in-law for standing up for her Family, Friends and Freedoms.

Family Meal

Since my husband has been away our teenage boy has informed me that he has lost ten pounds.   I asked him how he has lost that much weight he said, "because you have been slacking on making home cooked meals and I am withering away."   Don't worry, my son is not withering away.  I don't even think he has lost a pound.  But my husband on the other hand probably has.  He doesn't complain much about the food.  But he isn't one to complain.  He told me that as soon as he gets home he wants some Bundy beef and some yummy banana bread.  I can not wait until the day that our family will be able to sit around the dinner table and have a family meal together.  It will be a  meal to remember.  Below is a recipe for Banana Bread.  This recipe is how I convinced Dave Bundy into marrying me.

DAVES FAVORITE BANANA BREAD

2 cups flour                                         1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder          3 medium-large ripe bananas (1 cup mashed)

½ teaspoon salt                                ½ cup sour cream

1 cup sugar                                         ½ cup chopped nuts

2 eggs

Turn the oven to 325.  Grease a 5-by 9-inch pan, with spray or crisco.  Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a medium bowl.  In a large bowl, cream the butter using an electric mixer.  Gradually add the sugar, scraping down the sides of the bowl as necessary.  Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Next, add the vanilla extract and blend briefly.  Set both bowls aside.  Peel the bananas and place them in a blender and mash them.  Next add the sour cream to the bananas and stir.  Then take the bananas mixture and add to the butter mixture.  Mix well then blend in the flour.  Then add the chopped nuts and stir well.  Dump all of the ingredients into the baking pan and cook for one hour.

This Best EVER Banana Bread recipe is the only one you will ever need! It’s easy, flavorful, and will quickly become your new favorite.

Just a couple facts about life in a Jail

1.  The number one food for prisoners is good old Top Ramen.  You have to buy your own bowl and the Top Ramen from their commissary account.  According to my husband they put the Top Ramen in a bowl and use water from their sink in their cell.  The water isn't really that warm but they let the noodles soak for awhile until their nice a soggy.

2.  Each prisoner is issued a cup.  They have to keep that cup with them in the cell.  When it is time for meals that is the cup that they are to use.  The prisoners do not enjoy any soft pillow.  Their pillows are actually sewn inside their thin bed mat.

3.  The jail does not season their food very well.  In fact if you want any condiments to help the food taste better then the prisoners have to buy them through their commissary account.  My husband has told me that almost all the meat is some kind of soy product.

                   Ketchup

4.  Every thing you use for grooming has to be short.  They have a short comb, short toothbrush and short brush.  If they want to use a razor they have to check the razor out and can only use it for so many minutes.

short handle prision toothbrush

5.   Prisoners are in charge of buying their own shoes.  They are supplied with really thin sandles once they get to the jail.  The prisoners can either buy the shoes below or their family members can bring in shoes that are appropriate and have been approved through the warden.

I do understand that there are rules for a reason.  But for those who did no crime it definitely feels like they are being punished.  They are definitely trying to break the political prisoners down.  They have taken them away from their homes, families, jobs, and all of the freedoms that we enjoy on any given day.  Please continue to pray for the political prisoners that they will be comforted and have the strength to fight this battle.  Pray for the judges that they will be fair and do what is just.  Pray for the defendants lawyers that they will be able to speak the truth. Lastly, pray for all Americans that they will stand up for their neighbor and this country.

Political Prisoner

Does this person look like a Domestic Terrorist?   Does this person look like he is a criminal that would destroy a Joshua tree by burning it and using it for target practice?
Well according to Harry Reid, this man is a Domestic Terrorist who enjoys destroying Joshua Trees in his spare time.  Well, I am here to tell you that Harry Reid has completely lost it.  Harry Reid has proven from his remarks yesterday that the reason that the Bundy Boys and their gang are in jail is only because they are political prisoners.  FREE THE BUNDYS AND ALL THE OTHER PATRIOTS!

Families are Forever

Our cute little daughter drew this awesome picture of our family.  I really love all of the girls high pony tails.  I talked with my sweet husband tonight.  He seemed discouraged.  But even though he was down he wanted me to remind our children to love each other and to serve each other and others around them.  He also reminded me that when the kids are least lovable it is then that I must show them the most love.  I am grateful for the guidance that he continues to give our family.  I love him more than he could ever imagine.  I know that our family is forever and that no matter how hard certain individuals and agencies try to destroy our bond our family is bonded for eternity.

One day at a time.

I heard our three year old headed out the front door.  I decided I better go see what he was up too.  When I opened the door I found him sitting on the step looking out onto the road.  I asked him what he was doing?  He said, "I am waiting for my daddy to come home".  My heart broke into a million pieces.  I held back the tears and told him that his dad will not be home today but he will come home soon.  It is the faith of our children that help keep Dave and I both going. I know that for me it is best to take each day one day at a time. Or sometimes take each moment one moment at a time.  I know that my Husband come home someday but for now we will continue to pray to our Heavenly Father that he helps our family and all the other patriots families to make it through the day.

Letters from Dave

It is always an exciting day when you get a letter from a Loved one.  I cherish these letters.  They are what helps to keep me strong.  I also know it is what helps Dave to be able to survive Solitary Confinement.  He tells me that he re-reads and re-reads his letters over and over again.  He is so grateful to all who have wrote to him and continue to write to him.

Each jail has different rules for their mail. I wanted to let you all know that Dave is only able to write with a 3 inch pencil.  Once that pencil gets dull then it becomes a 2 inch pencil.  Take a moment and try to imagine writing letters with that short of a pencil.  It is extremely hard to do.  He does not complain though and continues to write away.

This is our oldest son.  You can tell in his face that he is grateful for the letter from his Dad but would rather be with him in person then hear his thoughts through a letter.  He will cherish these letters. We will take what we can get at this point.

Dave is being kept at the Henderson Detention Center in Henderson, Nevada.
If you would like to mail him a letter the following is his address:

Dave H. Bundy
Henderson Detention Center
P.O. Box 95050
Henderson, NV 89009-5050

When writing make sure you do not use any stickers, crayons or anything sticky on the letter.

You can also send him soft covered books from Amazon and other bookstore.
